REVIEW

I began reading this series after I watched the first season of the Netflix series. I don’t usually read a lot but I enjoyed this a lot. I believe it was better because I could see the actors faces from the series. I liked seeing what was different and similar between the first book and the first season of Shadow and bone. I felt like it was pieced together well and the end was perfect. Not what I expected, but perfect. What I wanted to happen in the beginning changed as I got to know the character better. I will be anxious to see the series continue on Netflix. They did a good job in the series adding other characters that weren’t in the book so we wouldn’t just be seeing Alina’s point of view the whole time. I also think casting should get a round of applause because they picked the perfect people to play these characters. I haven’t read a series since Harry Potter so this was nice. I like how she wrote the novels. Sometimes I get lost in description or it being to wordy but she did a great job.
